School Services

Behavioural Support Plan. The BSP is designed to address a specific behavioural goal of decreasing a child’s negative/inappropriate behaviours OR increasing a child’s positive/appropriate behaviours. Examples include, decreasing meltdowns, decreasing aggression, increasing peer interactions, and/or increasing listening skills. This service includes:

  • Observation
  • Data Recording Forms
  • Programming Ideas
  • Modelling Opportunities
  • Report
  • Optional: Presentation of report findings to staff and/or student’s family. 

Goal Achievement Plan. The GAP is designed to support a family in helping their child reach his/her potential in a particular area. Examples include, developing a child’s motor skills, regulating sensory input, improving attention/focus, and/or managing transitions. This service includes:

  • Observation
  • Data Recording Forms
  • Programming Ideas
  • Report
  • Optional: Presentation of report findings to staff and/or student’s family. 

Inclusive Programming Consultation. This service is designed to support a school in incorporating ALL students into the school community in a positive way. This can be a useful resource for teachers that are new to teaching complex students or staff that are new to working in developmentally complex programs. This service includes:

  • School Observations
  • Co-developing programming with classroom teachers
  • Creating student/classroom schedules
  • Report
  • Optional: Presentation of report to staff

Classroom Environment Assessment. This service supports a teacher in making his/her classroom the best learning environment it can be. This service includes:

  • Meeting with the teacher to learn the classroom and student needs
  • Co-planning the room design based needs of the classroom
  • Design suggestions (including specialized learning areas, sensory zones, regulation areas, accessibility, ASD-friendly, etc…)
  • Resource referrals
  • Assistance in implementation of classroom plan

Professional Development. Presentations are available on the following topics:

  • ASD in Schools
  • Inclusive Classrooms
  • Managing Meltdowns
  • Children’s Mental Health 101
  • Teenage Anxiety and Depression: What to Watch For & How to Help
  • Positive Behaviour Supports
  • Developmental Milestones: Early School Years
